Having a single source of truth is a pot of gold, but being able to export it for additional data manipulation and reporting purposes is two pots of gold.

Hereunder we will show you how you can extract your data from the Indirect Tax tab.

Our Indirect Tax data tab is really a powerful tool for different use cases. To name a few:

  • Get a comprehensive view of your IDT deadlines and compliance obligations.

  • Installing a review/governance level in the IDT preparation process to allow a structured review before filing

  • IDT essential data and document gathering post-filing

  • Organize (annual) IDT reviews

When you unlock these values in Loctax you can go a step further and export your work. What does this look like? Keep on reading πŸ“–

Exporting IDT - data

When you go to the indirect tax tab of a certain entity, you will see the export button:

This export contains:

  • A general overview of all your VAT/GST registrations and their general information

  • A separate tab per registration

    • All the data points related to individual registration

General overview

Individual overview

You can clearly see: You have not uploaded a return M2 2022. This is visible in the export that you didn't upload the return. You can also see that in M3 2022, the return was submitted a day late.

Thanks to this overview you can focus on protecting your single source of truth and add data in a structured & controlled way. In addition, you can easily share this data with other teams, which takes the level of collaboration to a new level.

Within a few clicks, you can provide the latest version instead of searching the common server & wondering if this is the latest (correct) data regarding your indirect tax data.
